What are Facials and Peels?
Facials and peels are physician-grade skincare treatments that can help exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin. Sometimes called chemical peels, these treatments use concentrated chemical solutions to get rid of dead skin cells, debris, and excess oil on the skin. This process reveals a healthy new layer of skin and can reduce many skin concerns like fine lines, acne, pigmentation, and more.
Your Customized Facials and Peels Consultation
Chemical peels are a great option for virtually any skin concern. They can also be used ahead of a big event to boost your skin’s radiance and quality. With regular treatments, they can stimulate the production of new collagen and reverse the effects of aging and sun damage. Peels and facials are easily paired with other professional-grade treatments like microneedling or Botox® for a complete anti-aging regimen. Our team can help you create a personalized treatment package for your unique goals.

Meet The Team The Treatment Process
Facials and peels can be administered right in our Pensacola office. To begin, you’ll discuss your goals with our skincare experts. Chemical peels can be customized to a specific depth and with specific ingredients for your skin type and needs. Once you’re ready, your skin will be cleansed and made ready for treatment. A chemical solution will be brushed on the skin and left for a short amount of time. Once the desired amount of penetration is achieved, the solution is neutralized and your skin is made ready for the rest of your day.
Recovery and Results
You can expect to have some redness and sensitivity after your treatment. Your skin will begin to peel within 1-2 days and can last for up to a couple of weeks depending on the depth of your peel. It’s important to avoid picking, scratching, or exfoliating the skin during this time – it’s also important to wear SPF 30+ daily to protect your skin from sun damage. Once your skin finishes peeling, you’ll see noticeably brighter, more radiant skin underneath and a reduction in concerns like brown spots, fine lines, and scars. You can return for chemical peels monthly to maintain your results and completely treat your skin concerns. Our team will help you develop a schedule so you know what to expect from your peel treatment.
Facials & Peels FAQs
How long do facial results last?
Facial results last an average of 4-6 weeks and can be maintained with additional treatments. A good skincare routine including SPF and moisturizer can also help your results last longer.
How often should I get a facial?
Monthly facials and chemical peels can be scheduled to maintain smooth, glowing, and healthy skin.
How do I choose the right facial for my skin type?
Patients with an oily skin type can often benefit from exfoliating treatments or deep skin cleansing while dry skin benefits from hydrating treatments. Patients with sensitive skin should avoid harsh exfoliants and deep chemical peels. The best way to determine which facial is right for you is to schedule a consultation with our expert team.
Are facials effective for treating acne?
Facials are a great way to treat and prevent acne. Deep skin cleansing and exfoliation remove dead skin cells and debris from the surface of the skin to unclog the pores, preventing acne formation. Extractions can also be performed to remove whiteheads and blackheads, immediately giving you clearer skin.
Can facials help with aging?
Facials can be customized to specifically treat signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles and dull skin texture. Patients enjoy the subtle, natural-looking results that immediately refresh their youthful appearance.
What are the benefits of chemical peels?
Chemical peels remove dead or damaged skin cells from the surface of the skin, revealing a new layer of healthy skin. Rough skin texture, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, acne, and enlarged pores can all be treated with chemical peels.
How often should I get a chemical peel?
Light chemical peels can be performed monthly to maintain healthy, smooth skin. Deeper chemical peels should only be performed every 3-6 months since they penetrate deeper into the skin and can cause damage with overuse.
How long is the recovery after a chemical peel?
Chemical peel recovery varies depending on the depth of the peel. Mild to moderate redness and swelling are common so it is important to protect your skin from the sun and keep it moisturized. Light chemical peels will cause skin flaking or peeling for up to five days while deep peels may cause peeling for up to two weeks.
Are there side effects from chemical peels?
Chemical peels are safe for most patients and there is little risk of complications, especially when performed by a licensed esthetician or nurse practitioner. Redness, swelling, and scabbing are common but will improve within 1-2 weeks as the skin heals.
Are chemical peels safe for all skin types?
While light or superficial chemical peels are safe for almost all skin types, medium-depth or deep chemical peels might not be safe for patients with sensitive skin. At your consultation, we will assess your skin to determine the right chemical peel or facial for your personalized treatment.
