The Treatment Process
Microneedling is a quick treatment that can be performed right in our Pensacola office. Then, the specialized handpiece will be applied to the skin to generate tiny channels. Once the full area has been treated, active ingredients will be applied so they can be absorbed into the deeper layers of the dermis. Recovery and Results
It’s extremely important to avoid sun exposure after microneedling. It’s normal to have some redness and sensitivity, so avoid any harsh products or treatment of the skin. Make sure to keep your skin hydrated and use only gentle, unscented products. It can take a few weeks for the effects of microneedling to emerge as the skin generates new collagen, but the result is noticeably brighter and healthier skin. Most patients benefit from an initial package of 3-4 microneedling treatments spaced about one month apart. However, you can return for maintenance treatments every 6-12 months to continually stimulate collagen and prevent aging signs.
