What is Defyne?

Defyne is an injectable within the Restylane family of dermal fillers that uses specifically formulated hyaluronic acid to correct deep nasolabial or marionette lines around the nose and mouth. Hyaluronic acid is a substance found in the skin that is responsible for moisture retention, and Defyne uses special cross-linking technology to help the gel support common facial movements around the mouth and nose with long-lasting results.

Lexie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Nicholls State University in 2023 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2022. Her diverse nursing background includes pain management, pediatric emergency care, and travel nursing throughout the United States. As a an aesthetic injector, she combines her clinical expertise with an eye for detail and a gentle, personalized approach to each client’s care.

Outside of Grace + Grey, Lexie enjoys boating with her husband and their dog, Finnley—with SPF and a hat on, of course! She also loves Pilates, a little retail therapy, and cheering on LSU football. Lexie looks forward to welcoming you into her chair, getting to know your aesthetic goals, and helping you look and feel your very best.

The Treatment Process

Injectable treatments begin with a topical anesthetic to ensure that you’re comfortable during the procedure. Then, our injectors carefully begin placing the crystal-clear gel with a very small needle into the treatment area. This can require multiple small injections to ensure your results look natural, and our team will ensure you know how much product will be required during your consultation. Depending on how extensive your goals are, injectable treatments can take 15 to 30 minutes.

Recovery and Results

You can expect some bruising and swelling after your injectable treatment, but it usually subsides within the day. If you experience any discomfort, you can manage it with the use of an ice pack. Defyne can last for up to one year, after which you can opt for another treatment or discuss your other options with our team.
