What is Refyne?

Refyne is an injectable dermal filler within the Restylane family of injectables. This filler uses specially cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel to create volume underneath the skin of the nasolabial area to fill in laugh lines and folds. This unique cross-linking technology allows the gel to last longer and allows for natural movements like smiling or chewing. Hyaluronic acid is a substance found in the skin that is responsible for retaining moisture and elasticity. When injected under the skin in gel form, it can restore volume and be naturally absorbed by the body over time.

Liz is an experienced registered nurse with 14 years in the field, including 8 years specializing in aesthetic injections. She graduated with her nursing degree from Georgia State University in 2010 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Chamberlain University in 2022. Before transitioning into aesthetics, Liz worked in the operating room and in various medical specialties including GI, spine, ortho, neuro, ENT, and facial plastics. She served as a trainer for Evolus, educating healthcare professionals on neurotoxin & filler injections, and was named ‘Best Injector in Atlanta’ by Jezebel magazine for 2024. Liz is currently listed in the ‘Best Aesthetic Injectors in America’ national directory as a recommended provider for the Pensacola area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her golden retriever Bensky. She also enjoys traveling, playing golf, snowboarding, and dancing!

The Treatment Process

Our experienced injectors begin treatments with the use of a topical anesthetic to ensure that you’re comfortable. We then use a very small needle to gradually inject the crystal-clear gel underneath the skin in specific locations. This can require multiple, small injections to make sure the results appear natural and satisfactory— our team will also ensure you know how much product will be required during your consultation.

Recovery and Results

As with most injectable treatments, you can expect some bruising or swelling afterward, which usually subsides within the day. If you experience any discomfort, you can usually manage it with an ice pack. Refyne generally lasts for up to one year, after which you can repeat the treatment as needed or look at other long-term options.
